In 1968 Kevin McNamara commenced his Landscape Design & Construction Business. Today that business builds Australia’s finest tennis courts, swimming pools and associated landscapes.
In August 2004, the Sports Contractors Association announced their inaugural Australasian Tennis Court Awards. Kevin McNamara tennis courts scored a clean sweep and were awarded -
- Tennis Court of the Year (Domestic Tennis Court)
- Multiple Tennis Court Installation of the Year
In August 2005, a total of five awards were made for tennis court construction and the result was another clean sweep. Kevin McNamara tennis courts were awarded -
- Winner - Domestic Tennis Court of the Year (under $50,000)
- Runner Up - Domestic Tennis Court of the Year (under $50,000)
- Winner - Domestic Tennis Court of the Year ($50,000-$100,000)
- Runner Up - Domestic Tennis Court of the Year ($50,000-$100,000)
- Winner - Domestic Tennis Court of the Year (over $100,000)
- Runner Up - Domestic Tennis Court of the Year (over $100,000)
- Winner - Multiple Tennis Court Installation of the Year (less than $200,000)
- Winner - Multiple Tennis Court Installation of the Year (over $200,000)
In July 2006, a total of six awards were made and once again Kevin McNamara & Son dominated the awards -
- Design Innovation Award
- Winner - Domestic Tennis Court of the Year (under $50,000)
- Runner Up - Domestic Tennis Court of the Year ($50,000-$150,000)
- Winner - Sports Facility of Year - Other than Tennis (less than $150,000)
- Winner - Multiple Tennis Court Installation of the Year (more than $150,000)
- Winner - Surfacing Installation of the Year
June 2007 saw another clean sweep of the tennis court construction categories for Kevin McNamara & Son.

- Built first 2 tennis courts atYallambie Park for the City ofHeidelberg.

1978
|
- Completed construction ofAustralia’s largest synthetic tennis complex for the City ofTraralgon.
|
|
1986
|
- Initiated contact with the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce resulting in formation of the Tennis Court Builder’s Association of Australia elected Vice President.
|
|
1993
|
- Awarded Tennis Court of the Year.
- Elected President of the Tennis Court Builder’s Association of Australia.
|
|
1995
|
- Awarded Tennis Court of the Year.
- Negotiated introduction of the “Code of Practice Private Tennis Court Development” with the Minister for Planning.

2000
|
- Appointed to the Facilities Development Committee Tennis Australia.
- Appointed to the StandardsAustralia Sports Lighting Committee.

2002
|
- Completed construction of 2000th tennis court.
|

2003
|
- Invited to present a paper titled “Building the Sport of Tennis in Australia” at the International Tennis Federation Conference in London.
- Appointed to the Standards Australia Synthetic Sports Surfacing Committee.
- Celebrated 30 years of tennis court construction.
